Abstract

An account is given of the implementation of Wavelet Transform image compression algorithms using Associative Computing DSP chips. In particular, general issues of implementing wavelets set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) image compression using Associative Computing machines are described. Specific implementation details on ACL's XU chip are also detailed.
