Abstract

In 39 patients serum total protein and albumin concentrations were stable throughout the course of systemic Lupus Erythematosus. While IgG concentrations were increased at diagnosis and returned to normal during follow-up, IgM concentrations followed the reverse pattern. IgA dynamics differed from IgG and IgM. IgA was normal at diagnosis and its concentrations rose throughout the disease.
