Abstract

Uridine and thymidine incorporation into the peripheral vs. central zone of the Japanese Morning Glory apex, as well as into the apical leaves, was measured a few hours before and beyond the end point of the inducing long night. The enhanced incorporation was greatest in the peripheral zone and in the apical leaves suggesting that immediate pre-prefloral effects are mainly expressed "vegetatively".
