Abstract

Mössbauer-effect measurements on 125Te and 129I impurities in gadolinium yield values of hyperfine fields Hhf = -229 kOe and Hhf = -42 kOe respectively. These values are in excellent agreement with Campbell's prediction of the systematics of Hhf for s-p solutes in Gd.
