Human immunity to gonococci: studies of opsonization by sera of prostitutes and nuns

Abstract

The results of this study establish the presence of opsonic antibody to N. gonorrhoeae in sera from 26 prostitutes and in convalescent sera from women with gonococcal salpingitis. Such opsonins were not found in sera of Catholic nuns.
