How computer-generated holograms can contribute to 3-D imaging?

Abstract

Generating a hologram of the scene to be viewed is an ultimate solution for 3-D visualization. For generating synthetic holograms, one doesn't need to imitate optical holograms of the scene. The paper discusses possible options.
