Abstract

This article describes the main demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the elderly in Israel, examines their housing conditions and reviews the policies and activities of the public sector in housing. It also discusses the involvement of other organizations (voluntary associations and private commercial enterprises) in the development and delivery of services to this population.
