High resolution-extended depth of field imaging

Abstract

A pupil phase mask, designed for incoherently illuminated scenes, allows imaging with significantly increased depth of field, while maintaining acceptable resolution and color preservation. Color and contrast of the resulting images may be enhanced digitally.
