N2 - We report the results of comparative studies of low frequency harmonic generation in the microwave reflected power by application of an ac magnetic field in high-Tc and conventional low-Tc granular lead superconducting thin films. While in all samples even harmonics are found, the fundamental is observed just below Tc in granular materials. A strong anisotropy of the amplitude of the harmonics is found. These effects are discussed in relation with the microstructure and in terms of viscous flux motion.
