Abstract

Bounds on the crest-factor (CF) distribution of orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) signals were generalized. For independent subcarriers, a complete characterization of arbitrary complex constellations was derived. For dependent subcarriers, bounds were derived in terms of the weight distribution and their duals of the underlying code. Furthermore, implications of code design were discussed.
