Abstract
Parkinsonian gait is a bradykinetic, hypokinetic, rigid type of gait disorder. Decreased force generation, dysrhythmicity, left/right dyssynchrony, abnormal scaling, dysexecutive syndrome and abnormal postural reflexes all play a role. Continuous and especially episodic gait disturbances frequently lead to falls. Careful assessment can suggest effective treatments.
