Abstract

Gabriele D'Annunzio, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, and Giulio Douhet personified Italian Fascism's fascination with speed, violence, modernism, futurism, and utopianism. The relationship among these contemporaries was one of competition, envy, and tentative cooperation.
