Four notes on taita king of palistin with an excursus on king Solomon's empire

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The paper adds four observations to an earlier note (Sass 2010a) in which the author suggested placing Taita, king of Palistin (Hawkins 2009), in the 10th century, probably towards its end. The paper addresses Taita and the settlement of the Sea Peoples; Taita and hieroglyphic luwian; Taita and the southern levant; and Taita and egypt. An excursus on two 10th-century levantine empires—those of the historical Taita and the biblical Solomon—is also added.
