Abstract
A retrospective study was performed upon young girls, who under the age of 20 yr underwent ovarian surgery with the objective of determining whether ovarian surgery affects later fertility. 42 patients were operated upon. 3 patients died 4 mth after the operation. 23 patients were subsequently located and investigated. The study indicates that ovarian surgery performed at a young age does not influence future fertility.
