Abstract

Features of a pT limited phase space are discussed and compared with the experimental data for pp, K+p, and π±p reactions. A good description of the energy dependence of the cross-sections is achieved by means of a simple model which uses pT fixed longitudinal momentum phase space. The combined c.m. pL distribution for all outgoing pions in π-p reactions at 16 GeV/c and π+p reactions at 8 GeV/c are shown to be well described by a pT fixed longitudinal phase space distribution.
