Abstract

Fast DCT-based algorithms are presented for signal convolution and translation that are virtually free of boundary effects, characteristic for corresponding DFT-based fast algorithms. The properties of DCT relevant to the subject are summa-rized and compared to the corresponding properties of DFT.
