Abstract
In severe hemophiliacs, 80% of all bleeding episodes occur in the musculoskeletal system. The joint most frequently affected is the knee. Two cases are represented where the attending physician erroneously concluded that the knee hemarthrosis was just another regular bleed. These two cases are presented in order to reiterate that the physician must judge every hemarthrosis on its merits and that familiarity breeds contempt.
