Abstract

A general method is given for calculating the exact form of the helicity eigenstates of a wave function for any spin. Explicit expressions of the wave functions for spin S=1,32,2, and 52 are listed. Examples of helicity amplitudes for the production of S=32+ and S=52+ isobars in proton-proton scattering are computed.
