Abstract

In the fifth paragraph of the Introduction section it says: ‘A recent randomized controlled trial (RCT) conducted in four acute-care hospitals in Israel compared trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole with vancomycin for the treatment of inpatients with severe MRSA infections. The trial included 252 patients and demonstrated that trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole was non-inferior compared with vancomycin in the treatment of severe MRSA infections, particularly for patients with bacteraemia.’ The word ‘non-inferior’ should be ‘inferior’.
