Abstract

The entropy fluctuations for directed polymers in 2+1 dimensions were studied numerically. The fluctuations were used to distinguish low from high temperature behaviors than the commonly corresponding fluctuation in the free energy. In the 2+1 dimension, a transition from a low temperature phase where the entropy is extensive to a high temperature phase where it is subextensive.
