Abstract

We measured cross sections of subthreshold p ̄ productions in the reactions of d + {C, Al, Cu} at 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 5.0 GeV/u, and p + {C, Cu} at 3.5, 4.0 and 5.0 GeV. An enormous enhancement of p ̄ productions in deuteron induced reactions was found at lower incident energies. It seems to be difficult to understand such an enhancement with our present knowledge of nuclear interactions.
