Abstract
The reaction γp→ρ- Δ++ was studied between 4 and 8 GeV using positron-annihilation radiation. Assuming σ Eγ-a we find that a=0.6±0.2. With sufficiently large absorption corrections, a one-pion-exchange model can fit this dependence, but requires a width for ρ→πγ much in excess of the value predicted by SU(3).
