Abstract

The electrical forces and charges separated during interaction of arbitrary axisymmetric aerosols are investigated. Results are computed using the method of moments. Explicit results are derived for charge separation and electrical forces in systems of deformed liquid particles and in systems of elongated solid aerosols (needles). The method is general enough to be applicable to other systems of more complicated geometry.
