Abstract

Interesting features of extreme cluster multielectron ionization in ultraintense laser fields pertain to electron dynamics and to the characteristics of the nanoplasma in large finite systems. Ultrafast cluster dynamics is not limited to the dynamics of ions on the time scale of nuclear motion, but is extended to the realm of electron dynamics. Electron dynamics involves changes in electronic states, without the involvement of nuclear motion, bypassing the constraints imposed by the Franck-Condon principle.
