Abstract
The formation of double-stranded DNA on electrodes can be probed and amplified with functionalized liposomes (shown schematically). The resulting charged interface strongly repels the redox label, [Fe(CN)6]3- /[Fe(CN)6]4-, from the electrode interface, resulting in a high electron transfer resistance. Faradaic impedance spectroscopy is used to transduce the biosensing events.
