Abstract

Presents methods to obtain accurate values for the cutoff frequencies of the propagation methods of waveguides whose cross sections contain one or more re-entrant corners. Development of superelements to enable the finite element method to be used for computing accurate eigenvalues of the Laplacian over domains containing re-entrant corners of arbitrary angles.
