Abstract

Spreadsheets are computational tools that are used in the chemical industry for a wide variety of tasks. Combining spreadsheets with additional software packages can considerably speed up and increase the robustness of the spreadsheet model development. Microsoft Excel and the POLYMATH numerical software packages are used to demonstrate the approach. The application of this technique for solving complex consecutive calculations is described.
