Abstract

An algorithm is presented which yields all posible supervisors, given an operation control policy in a discrete-event systm. The aim is to obtain more efficient controls, i. e. , those which require less computer capacity. This model of discrete-event systems, in which control is obtained by preventing undesirable transitions is generic to a large variety of applications but was motivated by flexible manufacturing systems. A simplified FMS example is considered.
