Abstract

Intraocular pressure (IOP) was measured in 140 normal subjects prior to and following local application of 2% pilocarpine unilaterally. It was found that the fall of IOP was preceded by a rise. The lower the baseline IOP values, the greater was the initial rise and the smaller the subsequent fall.
