Abstract
The asymptotic series in the vicinity of a singular edge in an elastic domain is derived. This series and the dual solution are used to extract edge stress intensity functions and the T-stress by the "quasi-dual function method" (QDFM) from high order finite element solutions. Several numerical examples are provided that demonstrate the efficiency, robustness and high accuracy of the proposed QDFM.
