Abstract

In the century and a half since Breitheupt first described the march fracture, there is little in the literature pertaining to stress fracture treatment. 1 In a Medline search from 1986 until 1999 using the key words stress fracture and treatment, there is only one journal reference cited. 2 Brief paragraphs about stress fracture treatment can be found in some stress fracture review articles or articles focused on other aspects of stress fracture.
