Abstract

The Orbital Cable System (OCS) consists of a vehicle with an engine, a long connecting cable (string) and a satellite-probe for low altitude geophysical explorations. Vehicle orbits the Earth at an altitude of 200-250 km and tows a probe at an altitude of 100-150 km.
