Abstract
The relationship between the energy fluxes - namely the one directly involved in fracture (fracture energy on the 'microlevel') and the one that flows to the edge of the crack in the long-wave approximation (on the 'macrolevel') - in relation to a linear-elastic homogeneous continuous medium with a structure of quite general form is determined. The corresponding formulas for discrete media are derived.
