Abstract
In some composite models of quarks and leptons, neutrinos contain colored subconstituents; hence, at energies above the compositeness scale, they can interact strongly with quarks. Such strong neutrino interactions may explain the underground muon bursts and the anomalous properties of air showers associated with X-ray binary stars.
