Abstract

summary An unusual case of lipoma arising in the floor of the mouth of a 70‐year‐old man is presented. The unusual appearance suggests that the tumour be included as a rare possibility in the differential diagnosis of swellings in the floor of the mouth that can also adversely affect lower denture stability.
