Abstract

Two discrete lossy models are presented for tubular acoustic systems, along with algorithms for solving the inverse problem. The models are extended to account for viscous and thermal losses at the tube walls. Although lossy scattering is a difficult problem in general, the properties of the systems examined allowed the solution of the lossy case for both models.
