Abstract

Field geological and mineralogical investigations, as well as geophysical data analysis, have been recently applied in the western part of Makhtesh Ramon area (central Negev, Israel). The aim of this investigation was to search proposed kimberlite pipes (diamondiferous associations) of the Cretaceous age. Interpretation of geophysical data and space image analysis allowed to identify of a few objects favorable for detailed investigation.
