Diffuse scattering and electroscattering of light in the vicinity of critical phase-transition points at the metal/electrolyte interface

Abstract

Expressions were obtained for the intensity of diffuse scattering of light in the vicinity of critical phasetransition points at a metal electrode surface. Quantitative estimates were made. It was shown that the behavior of the adsorbed layers in the vicinity of the critical points can be studied by optical techniques using their state-of-the-art accuracy.
