Abstract
The experimental study of a cyclotron-resonance maser (CRM) in a 2D periodic-waveguide is reported. Using a low-energy electron beam (approx. 5 keV, 0.1 A), the experiment is operated in microwave frequency around 7 GHz in an axial magnetic field (approx.3 kG). The corresponding efficiency is approx.10%. This experiment is a first stage in the development of a new CRM-array concept.
