Abstract

On the basis of Gell-Mann-Dashen-Fubini sum rules we prove that the common expression for photon emission in high-energy processes such as v(v) + N → e (e) + N′ + γ is valid up to large photon transverse momentum within an accuracy of up to a power of the photon energy. Within the same framework, the cross section for W-meson production in reactions such as γ + p → W+ + n, μ + p → μ + n + W+ etc. is calculated.
