Abstract

Our paper presents findings from a secondary analysis of the SITESm2 study, using tools developed to characterize educational innovative pedagogical practices using technology in terms of the level of their innovativeness as well as factors involved in the initiatives, within the schools and outside it. Findings exhibit vast variations among initiatives in terms of their level of innovativeness as well as in the domains of innovation. Also, immense differences were found in the factors involved in these educational enterprises; however, conclusions were reached regarding patterns of innovativeness, implicating that some domains are prone to innovation more than others; also that involvement of some factors is necessary for the success of these initiatives.
