Abstract

Renormalization group calculations, using mainly the "replica trick", treating the critical behavior of quenched magnetic alloys, are reviewed. In particular, the following problems are discussed: non-magnetic (or weak) impurities, tricritical points; alloys with competing symmetries, tetracritical points; ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic alloys, spin glasses; random fields; etc. In each case the relevant phase diagram (as a function of impurity concentration) and the appropriate multicritical points and crossover effects are reviewed.
