Abstract
Improved coupled-mode theory is used to analyze several geometries of phased-array semiconductor lasers with simultaneously varying channel width and spacing. The designs considered include bilinear, crosslinear, and LAMBDA -V chirped arrays. The effects of simultaneously varying the channel width and spacing in the same array is examined. The analysis is based on improved coupled-mode theory.
