Abstract
Coronary aneurysms are detected in about 1% of all coronary catheterizations. Their presence can explain a wide variety of clinical syndromes, even when no significant stenosis of the coronary artery is present. The etiologies are diverse, with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and Kawasaki's disease being the most common. Treatment is usually conservative and includes anticoagulant, antiplatelet aggregants, and in severe cases surgical intervention.
