Abstract
The article attempts to contribute to the study of the fortuna of one of the most notable compositions in the vernacular of the Jews in Christian Spain. It does this in three ways: 1. by reconstructing a specific cultural background of interest in the Joseph story. 2. by reopening the discussion of the provenance of Gonzalez Llubera's "MS C". 3. by describing CUL Taylor Schechter Genizah fragments of a hitherto unknown aljamiado print of the work.
