Abstract

Most of the switched mode converters can be modeled by a controlled power conservative two port network denoted POPI network. In most of the cases the output voltage and current parameters are influenced by the input. By the use of a suitable control signal it is possible to buffer the output from the input terminals. It is shown that satisfying the buffering condition by POPI network, implies creation of power source characteristic at the input terminals.
