Abstract
The inspection of the vagina may be necessary in childhood whenever abnormal bleeding or persistent vulvovaginitis occurs. The intact and narrow laryngeal ring is a significant obstacle to the physician. Continuous-flow vaginoscopy using the hysteroscope and normal saline for irrigation and distention is very quick, easy and efficacious. Procedures, such as hemostasis, biopsy or foreign body removal can be performed during its application.
