Abstract
It is pointed out that the compositionality constraint depends on independent restrictions on the form of the grammar; in particular on the way morphological features are incorporated. In order to prevent that this causes the compositionality constraint to lose content, we sketch a framework in which the role of features in syntax is restricted.
