Abstract

In order to improve the expansion of stresses close to the edge for a thin plate, a corrective term is added to the displacement. This corrective displacement must solve a problem posed over an infinite domain. In order to get the behavior of this term far from the edge, we write it as a combination of root functions of the problem. To do this, we have to prove that a system of root functions is complete. It follows from this study that the corrective term decreases exponentially.
