Abstract

The instrument tested in this study can be recommended for use in the clinic and at home. The coefficient of variation found in 20 replicate analyses of samples containing 100 to 200 mg/dl of glucose was found to be ±8.7 mg/dl for the Reflomat, and ±3.5 mg/dl for the Auto-Analyzer. Our findings show that the results obtained with the Reflomat generally compare well with those obtained with the AutoAnalyzer but they are unreliable in the range >300 mg/dl.
